February: Artist of the Month

Ben Williams (Warlmanpa) is a visual artist from South Australia with a First Nations and Swedish background. Their mob is Warlmanpa and clan group is Kanturrpa from the Barkley region, which is based in a small remote community of Warrabri/ Ali-Curung in the Barkley region of the Northern Territory.

Growing up Williams was always drawn to and connected to art, as both their parents were artists, which predisposed their ability to be creative and express their culture in a unique and contemporary form.
